Freiberg, June 18, 2021. Sabowind Service GmbH received the order to disassemble wind farm Augustusberg near Nossen in Saxony, consisting of 3 Vestas V44 and 2 Vestas V47 including foundations.
The dismantling of the 5 wind turbines, which went into operation in 1997 and 1998, took place in May already. The nacelles have been removed and will provide spare parts in the future. The towers and rotor blades were dismantled on site and then properly disposed of. The foundations were then demolished. The resulting excavation pits were filled with appropriate filling soil and local topsoil and thus returned to agricultural use. For Sabowind Service GmbH, this order with this volume was one of the first of its kind. Despite the sometimes difficult weather conditions, the dismantling took place in the planned time frame and was successfully completed.
