Sabowind takes account of wind turbines’ impact on the environment when developing wind farms, because a wind turbine can only be approved if it produces no unreasonable stresses on the environment. This involves independent experts carrying out extensive studies, for example regarding the effects on birds and bats.
Sabowind also compensates for the construction of wind turbines by implementing numerous compensation measures to benefit nature and the landscape. These are specified in the accompanying landscape conservation plan and can include anything from unsealing of soils, to planting of vegetation, to the creation of naturalistic wetlands.
